Fleet BWTS Calibration: Mobilisation, Scheduling & Attendance Costs
Sea Clean can often reduce attendance costs through coordinated fleet planning. Multiple vessels in the same area, or sequential ship-to-ship attendance along an efficient route, can share travel and mobilisation expenditure. Route assessment considers ETA/ETD, instrument due dates, work duration, access, transport and consumable requirements. Vessel-specific labour, parts, findings and calibration certificates remain separately identified; savings are assessed for the actual schedule rather than expressed as a universal percentage.

Email quotation requests identify vessel/IMO, installed system and instruments, work scope, port, dates and access arrangements. Supporting technical records may be attached to the prepared email. Requests are sent through the email client; no website submission inbox is used.
Fleet scheduling, mobilisation and attendance costs
Sea Clean can often reduce attendance costs through coordinated fleet planning. Multiple vessels in the same area, or sequential ship-to-ship attendance along an efficient route, can share travel and mobilisation expenditure. Route assessment considers ETA/ETD, instrument due dates, work duration, access, transport and consumable requirements. Vessel-specific labour, parts, findings and calibration certificates remain separately identified; savings are assessed for the actual schedule rather than expressed as a universal percentage.
The planning register includes vessel/IMO, ports, ETA/ETD, calibration due dates, system and instrument inventory, required tasks and agent contacts. Same-area attendance is compared with sequential port-to-port mobilisation. Cost efficiency must not defer required calibration, reduce the specified method or replace vessel-specific records.
Fleet register and route-assessment inputs
Each vessel entry comprises IMO number, BWMS variant, instrument inventory, required tasks, last calibration, due dates, ports, ETA/ETD, agent and priority. Alternative calls support comparison of travel, work duration, access and equipment readiness.
Fixed and provisional calls are separately identified. Multiple vessels in one area are assessed alongside feasible onward port calls. Route feasibility depends on compatible operating windows and access arrangements, not geographical proximity alone.
Shared mobilisation and vessel-specific cost allocation
The quotation separates shared mobilisation/travel from vessel-specific labour, parts and technical work. Additional instruments, fault diagnosis, access delays and different reference materials may affect the route and cost allocation.
Each vessel receives its own findings, instrument results and calibration certificate. Shared travel does not permit reuse of another instrument's results or substitution of the specified method. Compatible standards and consumables are allocated before mobilisation.
Instrument calibration and certificate documentation
Sea Clean provides annual BWTS instrument calibration and calibration certificates. Each certificate documents the vessel and instrument identity, calibration date, method, reference identification, results, adjustments and applicable limitations. As-found and as-left results distinguish initial condition from post-intervention performance. The next-due basis follows the installed-equipment requirements; drift, repair or abnormal findings may require earlier work. Instrument calibration documentation is distinct from BWMS type approval, class/flag approval and biological D-2 compliance evidence.
The instrument schedule identifies TRO analysers and applicable flow, conductivity, pressure or other supporting devices by tag, manufacturer, model and serial number. The work package specifies procedure, measurement range, reference materials, acceptance criteria, operating conditions and access/isolation requirements. Unresolved faults, incomplete checks and recommended corrective actions are recorded explicitly.
- Identification: vessel/IMO, instrument tag, manufacturer, model and serial
- Method: calibration procedure, measurement range and acceptance criteria
- References: standard identification, validity and applicable traceability evidence
- Results: as-found values, adjustments, as-left values and limitations
- Schedule: calibration date, next-due basis and required follow-up
TRO measurement, consumables and component identification
Supply and service cover TRO analysers, sensors, reagents, reference standards, sample pumps, tubing, valves, filter components and other identified BWMS parts. Electrodes, rectifiers, dosing equipment and protective systems are specified by their installed configuration and applicable maintenance procedure. Component availability is quoted separately from service capability.
Compatibility is established from instrument identity, measurement principle, part reference and current equipment documentation—not solely from the BWMS trade name. Calibration, verification, reagent replacement, process diagnostics and biological testing are separately defined activities.
- Equipment: nameplate, instrument model, serial number and configuration
- Components: OEM/part reference, quantity and replacement history
- Conditions: operating mode, observed symptoms, alarms and recent logs
- Consumables: reagent chemistry, standard concentration, expiry and storage requirements
Due-date controls and schedule-change management
Required calibration dates, safety conditions and vessel obligations constrain the route. The earliest deadline and an alternative attendance window are identified for each vessel; travel utilisation does not justify overdue work.
Late ETA changes, unavailable access and additional faults are addressed through named vessel/agent contacts and revised work packages. Parts readiness, instrument identity and reporting requirements are established before boarding.
Service coverage and regulatory distinctions
We service all EC BWTS systems, all manufacturers and variants. Sea Clean is an authorised Headway agent; other manufacturers are serviced independently. Attendance planning, component compatibility and reporting requirements are specified in the vessel work package. Other-brand OEM authorisation, laboratory accreditation and regulatory approval are not implied.
Service coverage extends to EC systems not yet profiled in this directory. The technical profiles distinguish direct and side-stream electrolysis, electrocatalysis, electrodialysis and fitted EC-generation options. UV, ozone, chlorine-dioxide and chemical-only treatment are separate classifications. Instrument calibration, process maintenance and biological compliance evidence are documented as distinct work scopes.

Send your installed system, instrument details and vessel dates to arrange the work.
Can Sea Clean provide annual calibration and a calibration certificate?
Sea Clean provides annual BWTS instrument calibration and calibration certificates. Each certificate documents the vessel and instrument identity, calibration date, method, reference identification, results, adjustments and applicable limitations. As-found and as-left results distinguish initial condition from post-intervention performance. The next-due basis follows the installed-equipment requirements; drift, repair or abnormal findings may require earlier work. Instrument calibration documentation is distinct from BWMS type approval, class/flag approval and biological D-2 compliance evidence.
Can several vessels share travel and mobilisation costs?
Sea Clean can often reduce attendance costs through coordinated fleet planning. Multiple vessels in the same area, or sequential ship-to-ship attendance along an efficient route, can share travel and mobilisation expenditure. Route assessment considers ETA/ETD, instrument due dates, work duration, access, transport and consumable requirements. Is Sea Clean authorised by every BWMS manufacturer?
We service all EC BWTS systems, all manufacturers and variants. Sea Clean is an authorised Headway agent; other manufacturers are serviced independently. Attendance planning, component compatibility and reporting requirements are specified in the vessel work package. Other-brand OEM authorisation, laboratory accreditation and regulatory approval are not implied.
What should an RFQ contain?
Include vessel/IMO number, exact BWMS variant, instrument make/model/tag/serial, required work and certificate, last calibration and due date, port/terminal, ETA/ETD and agent. Add part numbers/quantities and any other vessels in the same area or along a feasible route. The links open email drafts only; nothing is submitted to a website inbox.
