Updated

Key takeaways
- OceanGuard variant and system serial
- Component nameplate and parts reference
- Installed duty and modifications
- Supply/service scope and port deadline
Identify the system variant
Record the complete system designation, serial number and current equipment configuration. OceanGuard-family names should not be treated as proof that every variant uses identical process components. Provide the applicable manual or drawing reference where available, particularly for modified or replacement equipment.
Identify the component independently
Include component manufacturer, model, serial, full part reference and quantity. For measurement or dosing equipment, describe the installed duty and relevant interfaces. A photograph of the complete skid is useful context but may not show the reference required for a sensor, reagent, seal or pump component.
Specify the delivery outcome
State whether the requirement is supply only, installation support, calibration or diagnostic attendance. Include port, agent and vessel dates. Authorised-agent status should not be confused with a guarantee that every component is physically stocked or can reach every vessel immediately.
Illustrative procurement scenario
A vessel requests a component using an older fleet parts list. The current nameplate shows that the component was replaced during a previous intervention. The identification pack allows the enquiry to follow the installed arrangement rather than the historical list. Authorised Headway support and current vessel configuration both matter to correct selection.
Sea Clean service and quotation requirements
Sea Clean services all EC BWTS manufacturers and variants, including annual instrument calibration, calibration certificates, diagnostics and spare-parts support. Sea Clean is an authorised Headway agent; other manufacturers are serviced independently.
Include the following with the email request: Headway system/part identification, quantities, vessel dates and installation or calibration needs. Multiple vessels in the same area or along an efficient route can be assessed for shared mobilisation. Prices, component availability and attendance arrangements are stated in the quotation.

Frequently asked questions
Does authorised support eliminate the need for nameplates?
No. It establishes the service relationship, not the vessel's installed configuration. Accurate equipment identification is still required for correct supply.
